Founded in August 2016, Sylva International LLC is a Registered Investment Advisor based in Oregon. Our team brings diverse expertise in finance, corporate communications, and investment banking. We specialize in investing in small-cap publicly traded companies through both direct investments and open market purchases. While we do not engage in activist investing, our CEO and Founder, Ross Silver, has previously been invited to serve on the Board of Directors for a company we invested in.
In addition to our investment activities, we offer marketing services to public companies when appropriate, with full compliance to disclosure regulations. About Ross S. Silver, RIA
Mr. Silver founded Sylva International LLC ("Sylva"), a Registered Investment Advisor (“RIA”) based in Oregon, in 2016. Before launching Sylva, he established Vista Partners, a hedge fund and independent equity research firm in San Francisco, where he served as Principal Analyst and CEO from 2005 to 2016. Under his leadership, the portfolio of companies he analyzed achieved an impressive average annual return of 17%.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Silver was a Research Analyst at TC Advisors, also in San Francisco, and prior to that, he worked as a research associate at Dresdner RCM (now Allianz), focusing on Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples sectors. He began his finance career in the Technology, Media, and Telecom Investment Banking group at CIBC, where he primarily worked on mergers and acquisitions, as well as equity and debt offerings.
In addition to his investment work, Mr. Silver has consulted for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and has shared his expertise as a speaker at investment conferences worldwide. He also served as a Board Member for his local American Red Cross chapter in Bend, Oregon.
Mr. Silver holds a Series 65 securities license and is passionate about coaching his children's youth sports teams, particularly in football and baseball.
